Emergency and Crisis Assistance

 

To report an emergency, contact the Campus Sheriff at extension 2911 or the direct line to the Campus Sheriff is 818.947-2911. Please do not call 911 directly for campus emergencies. The College Sheriff will directly contact 911 units and be able to guide and escort them to the appropriate location.

 

First Aid

 

Students:

 

If a student has been injured or becomes very ill on campus, please contact the Campus Sheriff for their evaluation. The Campus Sheriffs will respond to the student’s location and if necessary will determine to transport the student to the health center or contact 911.

 

Faculty and Staff:

 

Faculty and staff please be advised that the health center is for student services only. Any injuries must be immediately reported to your supervisors for further details of where to receive medical attention. For serious injuries contact campus sheriff.

For mental crisis intervention, contact LAVC psychological services (818) 778-5708 and if not available, may contact Mental Health information line (800) 854-7771 (24-hr crisis LA county mental health) or campus sheriffs department
