Vision

We strive for excellence, integrity, and ethics in our work and hold the highest standards in regard to the quality of the reports we publish and the information we provide.

Mission

The Los Angeles Valley College Research Office’s mission is to provide high quality research to the campus community and the public. The Research Office provides information, data, research, analysis, evaluation, and assessment for planning, goal-setting, and decision-making.

Goals

• To provide information about our students to improve our understanding of the students we serve
• To evaluate our progress and refine our goals in order to improve our students’ success
• To assess college programs and services
• To publish meaningful measures of effectiveness
• To communicate useful information and important facts and trends
• To analyze, interpret, and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data
• To provide research and evaluation support for grant-writing endeavors
• To conduct matriculation research and assessment validation
• To be a resource for implementing and assessing student learning outcomes (SLOs)
• To disseminate research findings for decision-making and planning purposes
