Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
To become a Microsoft Office Specialist, you need to pass a certification exam to verify your skills in desktop applications. Having the certification may qualify you for a differential in pay (check the Staff Guild contract or your campus AFT1521A rep). Once you have the certification, you may need to renew it periodically. Again, check your specific bargaining agreement or union rep.
Practice tests are installed on one of our computers in the PDC. Call 2712 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange to come in and work on the practice tests before you take the actual test.
You may also arrange to take the test here in the PDC.
