Message From the President

President Carleo talking with Students

Welcome to the Spring Semester at Los Angeles Valley College

In just a brief semester many of you will be marching in our
graduation processional as you prepare to receive your diploma.
Valley's outstanding faculty, staff, and administrators continually
strive to do all we can to enable you to achieve that goal.

During the spring semester Valley will undergo a formal accreditation
review process. It has been six years since our last formal review and we are excited about showing the Accreditation (ACCJC) team all the improvements that have occurred since the last visit in 2007. Please check our Accreditation link (www.lavc.edu/accreditation) for details about the process and visit.

Valley College is committed to offering a class schedule comprised of hundreds of courses in a wide range of subjects to make it possible for you to transfer to a four-year college or university, complete your career/technical education training, or meet your fundamental skills needs.

Each of us at Valley embraces the concept of learning and we are here to help you meet your goals. It is more important than ever to stay focused on your academic success. Take a look at the Spring semester offerings posted on our website at www.lavc.edu and meet with a counselor to confirm you have chosen the right courses.

Enroll early to make sure you get the class(es) you want and need. Once you are enrolled, our faculty will assure your learning experience is the best it can be. And, our staff will help us keep all the pieces together as we work with you to achieve your educational goal.

And finally, enjoy your learning experience. On behalf of our faculty, staff, and administrators, I welcome you to our Spring Semester.

Sincerely,

Dr. Susan Carleo Signature

A. Susan Carleo, Ph.D.

President
