Job Training Partners with Goodwill of Southern California

Panorama City - - Working in partnership with Goodwill of Southern California, Job Training presented a free business success workshop entitled “Creativity and Innovation for Your Business.” This dynamic hands-on workshop is part of a continuing series of presentations Job Training offers throughout the San Fernando Valley. The event also served to bring many businesses and agencies to Goodwill's new Job Service Center in Panorama City, a facility whose purpose is to benefit the community in a multitude of ways.

Acclaimed speaker Jim Marteney discussed a variety of areas that individuals could use to enhance their business success. In one case, Marteney cited how to look at problems from different angles.

“We are taught to look at situations only one way,” explained Marteney. “It becomes a habit. Creative people learn to break that pattern.”

Linda Broughton, Director of Business Relations and Placement Services for the campus, created an inviting setting, provided a variety of pastries, fruits, and drinks for the guests. Broughton was pleased with the workshop, saying she looks forward to a continuing relationship with Job Training.
