November 29 , 2006 -- An intensive MTA FastTrack training class ended their two-week, 30 hour class Wednesday with a celebratory graduation for 32 students at the Community Career Development Center in Los Angeles. FastTrack classes are designed to prepare candidates to qualify for the rigorous Metro bus training program. The class includes instruction in study skills, test taking, DMV test preparation, and customer service.
Metro was represented by Don Ott (executive officer, admini-stration), Stefan Chasnov (director of human resources), Scott Lloyd (human resources supervisor), and Diana Corral-Lopez (executive assistant). Other guests included Doug Marriott (outreach director, Literacy Network of Greater Los Angeles), and Gloria Moore (director, Wilshire-Metro WorkSource Center).
Candidates who meet the Metro qualifications will begin training following the beginning of the year.
