Faculty Hiring Prioritization - 2012 October
Following the approved prioritization procedures, the prioritization presentations and meeting for faculty positions took place on Friday, October 12, 2012 (the second Friday of October). The Faculty Hiring Prioritization Workgroup discussed, deliberated and approved a prioritization list that was approved subsequently by the full HPC membership and then forwarded to Academic Senate, which approved a modified list.
To view the list approved by Academic Senate, see the following: Faculty Hiring Prioritization List
To review the Faculty Hiring Request procedures, see the following: Hiring Handbook for Faculty Positions
Members of the Faculty Hiring Prioritization Workgroup use a rubric for individual assessment. This rubric is used as a guide for each workgroup member to assess faculty hiring requests during her/his review of the staffing modules and during the presentations. Once the presentations are completed, workgroup members discuss each position for placement in tiers. At this stage, the completed rubrics are used by the individual member of the workgroup to inform her/his participation in the discussion. The rubrics themselves are not used for prioritization by the full workgroup. To view the rubric, see the following: Faculty Hiring Prioritization Request - Rating Sheet
