EOPS/CARE Counseling

 

EOPS/CARE have three (3) full time counselors that can assist you with the following:

• Academic, Career and Personal Counseling
• Transfer Assistance
• Academic Progress Monitoring

EOPS students must meet with an EOPS counselor two (2) times each semester.  One of these appointments must be a 30-minute, scheduled appointment to prepare or update your student educational plan. The second appointment may be a 10-minute, same day meeting.

30 minute appointments
To schedule a 30 minute appointment, call or visit the EOPS office.  Students will need a 30 minute appointment to prepare or update a student educational plan (SEP).  To ensure that you get an appointment, please make your 30-minute appointment early in the semester.  If necessary, please cancel an appointment ahead of time.  If you fail to cancel your appointment, you will not be permitted to make another one.  You will have to come in for a 10 minute same day meeting.    

10 minute same day meeting

Same day meetings are for 10 minutes. These appointments are given out on a first come, first served basis. During peak times 10 minute same day meetings do go quickly.  Students may sign up 10 minutes prior to the posted time for each same day meeting.  Please remain in the office after you sign up.  If you leave the office, your turn will be given to the next student waiting to be seen.  Please remember that 10 minute, same day meetings are subject to cancellation. To verify 10 minute, same day meetings for a particular day/time, please call the EOPS/CARE Office at (818) 947-2432.
