A Mirror Darkly
Artin Shirvanian

A Mirror Darkly

A wren so small and serene
Singing songs which give the world
Such insight and wisdom on life.
Streams of splendid stories
Told through a sublime symphony
Resound in the minds of strangers
Strolling through a city
Oblivious to any advice
Which is not their own.

A crow grown cold and fraught with misery
Creates a cacophonous cry
Dismissed by careless men
Who crane their necks
To see just one creation of god
Cowardly avoiding the dark
Committed to the light.
