What is Ask A Counselor?

Ask A Counselor gives LAVC students the opportunity to email general questions that pertain to reaching their educational goals at LA Valley College.

Brief responses to student questions and concerns Clarification of college procedures and policies Certificate, degree, and transfer requirements Course prerequisite information Course offerings and majors available Referrals to other programs and services Transferability of LA Valley College courses	Detailed responses to student questions and concerns Education Plan Career planning Transcript evaluations Personal or crisis counseling Transferability of courses from other colleges Financial Aid appeals

Your question will be answered within two working days. If you require a response sooner, please go to the Counseling Department in the Student Services Annex and inquire about being seen for a Drop-In session.

Our office hours are:

Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 7:00 pm

Friday - 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
