How to Enroll
Cooperative Education Eligibility:
Cooperative Work Experience Education (CWEE) requires a structured work environment and supportive supervisors or mentors to collaborate in overseeing student learning objectives. The application requires students, in partnership with their supervisor, to create measurable objectives to be achieved during the semester of enrollment.
The student must be employed, volunteering or interning prior to registering for Cooperative Education. Self-employed students, temps, substitutes, informal childcare providers and homecare providers are not eligible.

Application Process:
To complete the Coop. Ed. application process, each student must first be a Los Angeles Valley College student. To enroll at Los Angeles Valley College go to: http://www.lavc.edu/newstudents.html
Once the student has enrolled at Los Angeles Valley College, and has a valid student I.D. number, he/she can click the link below to download the Cooperative Education Application Packet:

Once the application packet is complete, the student can call 818-947-2334 to schedule an appointment to meet with the Coop. Ed. Director. Enrollment into the program is by add slip only.

Spring/Fall Sessions
Students can earn 1-4 units of college credit during the Spring and Fall sessions. The unit breakdown is as follows:

Paid Positions 75 hours = 1unit 150 hours = 2 units 225 hours = 3 units 300+ hours = 4 units* *(must be related to major) |
Interns (Unpaid) 60 hours = 1 unit 120 hours = 2 units 180 hours = 3 units 240 hours = 4 units* *(must be related to major) |
Students enrolling for the Spring session must submit a complete Cooperative Education Application Packet and be enrolled no later than February 18, 2013.
Volunteer and Earn College Credits
