Dear Potential Nursing Student:


The Los Angeles Valley Nursing Program is approved by the National League for Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) and the California Board of Registered Nursing (CABRN). National accreditation is a prestigious accomplishment for the nursing program at Los Angeles Valley College. National accreditation and State accreditation holds the Nursing Program at a high standard and assures a program of excellence.


The Nursing Program accepts application for the program twice a year; April for the Fall semester and September for the Spring semester. The admission criteria for the Nursing program are the Chancellor's Validation Study. The minimum cut score is 80. Remember you must see a counselor prior to applying to the Nursing Program and obtain "Evaluation of Transcripts for Nursing Program Prerequisites: form signed by a counselor. Please follow the Admission Requirements posted on this webpage or call the nursing office for further information.


The webpage for the Nursing Program is now easier to find from the main page of the Los Angeles Valley College webpage, it is now on the drop-down menu (Nursing). The webpage provides students with current information concerning program changes and updates.


The Respiratory Therapy is currently accepting applications. Please make an appointment with the counseling department for advisement. Information concerning transferring to UC: CSU may be obtaining in the counseling department.
