Sheri Berger was named Dean of Academic Affairs at Los Angeles Valley College in April, 2013.

Ms. Berger is one of four deans in Academic Affairs. She supervises the production of the college's schedule of classes and catalog. She also serves as a liaison to the Curriculum and Matriculation Committees. The departments and programs reporting to her are Anthropology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry/Physics, Earth Science, History/Humanities,Law/Political Science, Philosophy and Economics, Psychology and Developmental Communications, Sociology and Ethnic Studies, and the Transfer Alliance Program/Honors (TAP).

Ms. Berger has taught full time at Los Angeles Valley College since 1999. Most recently, she was the Acting Curriculum Dean, and before that she was the Mathematics Department Chair and the Curriculum Committee Chair. Her other past responsibilities at Valley College have included student learning outcomes chair, campus standard accreditation co-chair, emergency budget task force faculty co-chair, and being a Building User Group (BUG) leader for campus construction and renovation projects.

Ms. Berger holds her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mathematics from California State University, Northridge.
